Welcome to the Calgary Police Service Citizen Online Police Report System.
FOR EMERGENCIES OR CRIMES IN PROGRESS – CALL 9-1-1
This system allows you to submit and print a police report if one of the following has happened to you within the City of Calgary and you do not know who did it:
- You have lost or have had stolen something that is worth less than $5,000(not including firearms, licence plates or government-issued funds or identification).
(Lost Property or Theft under $5,000) - Your property or vehicle has been vandalized.
(Damage/Mischief to Property or Vehicle under $5,000) - Your vehicle has been broken into.
(Theft from Vehicle under $5,000)
All other crimes must be reported by calling the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or by visiting a district office.
The Calgary Police Service encourages Calgarians to report all crimes, in order to identify trends and better direct our patrols.
The online reporting system will ask you several questions, so please ensure you have the information available. The process takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes five steps.
Step 1 – We will need to know some basic personal and/or business details, such as your name and contact information.
Step 2 – We will need to know the date, time, location and a description of the incident.
Step 3 – We will need the details of your vehicle or property, such serial numbers and approximate value.
Step 4 – You will have a chance to review a list of the property you have reported and make modifications, if necessary.
Step 5 – You can submit the report. At this point, you will be assigned a temporary case number and can print a copy of the report for your records.
All reports will be reviewed and if further investigation of your case is required, you may be contacted. Filing a false police report is a crime.
